To qualify for PNP, one must work and gain enough experience in a particular trade peculiar to a particular province. To help secure the best province for one’s trade, we have enumerated three important PNPs for trade workers in 2022.
British Columbia PNP
For the British Columbia PNP, one can apply either through the BC Express Entry Stream or the BC Skills Immigration Stream. In order to qualify for the Express Entry stream one must have two years of experience and educational training related to that trade. Although a job offer isn’t significant here, having one could get extra CRS points and increase chances of being selected for a provincial nomination, which is worth an incredible 600 PR points.
The Skills Immigration stream is more centered on tourism and hospitality, long haul trucking, and manufacturing sectors of British Columbia. One must have a valid job offer in British Columbia and obtain at least 9 consecutive months of work experiences related to the trade. The second option is to apply through the Alberta Opportunity Stream. You will need at least 1 year of work experience in Alberta suitable for your job and a genuine job offer. This program has no age limit, you only need a high school diploma or certificate, and you must meet the language requirements required to qualify. You need to make sure your job is not on the list of undesirable jobs in Alberta.
